Website Terms of Use
In short: this is an information website for a product that is not yet on sale. Nothing on it is an offer to sell. Use it lawfully, don’t copy our content, and don’t treat our articles as legal advice. Indian law applies.
1. Who these terms are with
These terms ("Terms") govern your use of dashman.in (the "Site"), operated by Nikhil Khurana, sole proprietor, trading as DashMan, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. By accessing or using the Site you agree to them. This is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and does not need a physical or digital signature. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Pre-launch: no sale, no offer
DashMan products are not yet on sale. The Site has no checkout and takes no payment. Descriptions, features, specifications, images, videos and timelines show our current plans and development/sample units; they may change before launch and are not an offer capable of acceptance, a promise of delivery, or a guarantee of price. Product photos and video show development/sample units, not final retail units. Pricing, warranty and shipping terms will be published at launch, together with the information required by the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Contacting us creates no obligation on either side.
3. Using the Site
You agree not to: attempt to breach or probe the Site’s security; overload it or scrape it in a way that burdens it; use it for anything unlawful, or to send spam, malware or harmful content; impersonate anyone; or misuse contact details on the Site. We may block access to anyone who breaks these rules. Lawful, ordinary crawling by search engines and AI answer engines in line with our robots.txt is welcome.
4. Intellectual property
The Site and its contents — text, articles, photos, video, graphics, the DashMan name and logo, and software — belong to us or our licensors and are protected by Indian copyright and trade mark law. You may view the Site, and share links to it or quote short extracts with attribution and a link back. Any other use, including copying product photos or video, needs our written permission. If you send us feedback or ideas, you give us a free, perpetual licence to use them without obligation to you.
5. Articles and statistics are information, not advice
Journal articles, comparisons and statistics are general information published in good faith, with sources cited where we rely on them. They are not legal, financial or professional advice — including anything about the legality of dashcams, sharing footage, or privacy law in India. Laws and prices change; verify with the original source or a qualified professional before relying on them. Comparisons with other brands reflect publicly available information on the date shown; product names belong to their owners and are used only for identification.
6. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party sites. We do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content or practices.
7. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that information on it is complete or current. Nothing in these Terms excludes any right you have as a consumer under Indian law that cannot be excluded.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or loss of profit, data or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site; and our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to ₹1,000. This does not limit liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Privacy and cookies
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice, which form part of these Terms.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please first email nikhilkhurana2006@gmail.com so we can try to settle any complaint informally; we will respond within 30 days. If it is not resolved, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any right you have as a consumer to approach a consumer commission or other forum that Indian law gives you.
11. General
If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice, are the whole agreement about your use of the Site. We may update these Terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
